Hose, master cylinder/top yoke c/w boot for high handlebar
placeholder
This is the front brake hose that runs from the master cylinder up on the handlebar down to the top yoke area, fitted with a boot over the connection. It's built for bikes set up with high (US-style) handlebars, which is why the catalog calls it out separately from the standard bar hose - the extra bar height means a different length hose is needed to route cleanly without kinking or binding at full lock.

The catalog shows this part across a handful of appearances in FRONT BRAKE figures from 1979 into the early 1980s, which lines up with the era when Triumph twins were running hydraulic front discs with high bars as a factory or dealer option. This is a cable-and-hydraulic-era part - the brake is disc/hydraulic, not the older drum/cable setup, and this hose is part of that hydraulic line, so the boot mentioned is there to protect the connection point at the master cylinder or yoke fitting.
Our catalog shows 60-7174 was superseded by 60-7174A - same physical hose, later part number. If your parts book or an older invoice shows either number, you're looking at the same piece; order under whichever one the counter has current.
