Tachometer head
Tachometer head for the instrument cluster, cable-driven RPM gauge, appears in catalog listings from 1976 to 1978.
This is the tachometer head itself, the instrument that reads engine RPM off the cable drive. It shows up in the parts book under the SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER figure, so it mounted in the instrument cluster on the top of the bike alongside the speedo.

Our catalog record for 60-7010 spans model years 1976 through 1978, but that's just the span of catalog appearances we have on file, not a guarantee of fit on any one specific bike. Instrument heads on these machines can vary by dial face markings and cable drive spec even within a similar era, so before you order, check what's currently on the bike or what your parts book calls for.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond what's above. Call the shop and we can help confirm it's the right head for what you're running.
