AIR FILTER T140 76-82
Air filter element with plate for the Triumph T140 oil-in-frame twin.
This is the air filter element for the T140 twin, listed in the catalog under the gas tank and twinseat figure since that's where the air cleaner housing sits on the OIF frame bikes. It's the type that comes with a plate attached, as opposed to the plain element version. The alias CAW 418B shows up on this part in some records, so if that number is what's printed in your parts book, it's the same physical piece.

On these oil-in-frame Triumphs the air filter tucks in near the top of the frame under the seat area, feeding clean air to the carbs. It's a wear item that gets swapped out on a service schedule rather than something you rebuild, so when it's tired or torn up you replace the whole element.
The catalog shows this one appearing across a couple of years in the mid-to-late '70s. If you're not sure whether your bike takes the plated version or the plain element (60-3072 in our records), give us a call before you order and we'll help sort it out.
