Condenser
A condenser for the ignition/contact breaker circuit, catalog PN 60-0995 (also listed as D995).
This is a condenser, listed in the catalog under 60-0995 with the older D995 form also on record for the same part. It shows up in the electrical equipment and gear cluster/timing cover figures, which is where you'd expect it — condensers on these machines mount near the points and contact breaker assembly and work alongside them to keep the ignition circuit clean.

A condenser's job is to absorb the electrical surge when the points open, so you don't get arcing that burns the contact faces and kills your spark over time. If your points look pitted or blackened faster than they should, or the bike runs rough and hard to start, a tired condenser is one of the usual suspects.
