Blanking plug (replaces tacho bulb holder)
A blanking plug that fills the tachometer bulb holder position in the instrument housing.
This is a blanking plug that fits where a tachometer bulb holder used to sit in the instrument housing. On bikes fitted with only a speedometer, or where the tach illumination was left out, this plug closes off the hole so nothing rattles loose or lets water and dirt into the instrument. It's a simple item, but it's the kind of thing that's easy to lose track of and annoying to be without once you notice the empty socket staring back at you.

If you're rebuilding an instrument cluster and found a spare bulb holder missing or broken, this is the part that takes its place when a tach isn't fitted or its bulb function isn't needed. Give the shop a call if you want to confirm it matches your particular instrument housing before ordering.
