This is the plug cover and suppressor listed under 60-0297, also seen in older parts books as 28-47800 or D297. It's the cap that sits on the end of the spark plug wire and connects to the plug itself, of the Lodge-cap style. Its job is to carry ignition current from the coil lead to the plug while cutting down on radio and electrical interference.
