Cotter pin c/w nut and washer
Kickstart lever cotter pin with nut and washer, the pivot pin that clamps the kickstart crank to its shaft.
This is the cotter pin that clamps the kickstart lever onto the kickstart shaft, sold complete with its nut and washer. It shows up in the gearbox outer cover and gear cluster/timing cover figures, which is where the kickstart shaft lives on these engines. The pin is tapered so it seats the lever tight against the flat machined into the shaft, and the nut draws it home.

Owners running the older T4356 part number are looking at the same physical piece under its current 57-4356 catalog number. If your kickstart lever has developed play or clunk at the pivot, a worn cotter pin and its mating hole are usually the first thing to check before blaming the shaft itself.
We carry this listed against gearbox outer cover and timing cover work, and it turns up across a long catalog run from the early '70s into the mid-'80s. Bring in your old pin and lever if you're not sure which one you need — there's an oversize version out there for worn holes, so match up hardware before you order.
