This is a cap nut that fits over the clutch adjuster screw on the primary cover, sized for 7/16 inch B.S.F. thread. It's a small piece but it does a real job, keeping the adjuster screw locked in position once you've got the clutch adjustment set where you want it, and keeping dirt and moisture off the threads.
