Mainshaft selector fork

The mainshaft selector fork from inside the gearbox, which shifts the sliding gear on the mainshaft.

PN · 57-4308
Supersedes 57-0260B, 57-2596 — earlier factory numbers for this part.

This is the mainshaft selector fork out of the gearbox, the piece that rides in the groove of a gearbox sliding gear and gets pushed back and forth by the selector mechanism to change gears. It shows up in the parts book under GEARBOX INNER COVER AND SELECTORS, so it lives inside the inner cover along with the rest of the selector hardware. The older factory numbers for this same fork were 57-0260B and 57-2596, so if your parts book or an old invoice lists either of those, you're looking at the same physical part under a earlier number.

The legacy alias T4308 is just the old letter-prefix way this part number used to be written before Triumph moved to the all-numeric system - same fork either way.

Our catalog record ties this one to appearances in 1971-1972, so if you're working outside that window, check your own gearbox internals or give us a call before you order to make sure it's the right fork for your box.
