Gasket inner case to chaincase

Gasket that seals the inner chaincase to the outer chaincase cover on the primary drive.

PN · 57-2558

This is the gasket that seals the inner primary chaincase to the outer chaincase cover, keeping the oil bath in the primary drive where it belongs. It shows up in the parts book under the INNER AND OUTER CHAINCASE figure, and it's a straightforward flat gasket that goes between the two halves of the chaincase housing.

The old book number for this one is T2558, which is the same part as 57-2558 in the modern numbering. Our catalog record only ties it to a single appearance from 1969, so if your bike is outside that year, check the gasket against your chaincase before ordering.

A gasket like this is worth replacing any time the chaincase is split for primary chain or clutch work, since it's not something you want to reuse once it's been compressed and soaked in oil.
