Plate
The mounting plate and screw that holds the Lucas headlamp rim closed on the shell.
This is the small plate that mounts behind the headlamp rim on Lucas-equipped headlamps, working with a screw to hold the rim closed against the shell. It shows up across a long run of Triumph electrical figures over the years, from nacelle headlamp setups to later separate headlamp and wiring harness arrangements, which tells you it's a common wear-and-tear item that gets swapped out or gone missing on plenty of bikes passing through the shop. The older factory number 99-0690 covers the same part if that's what's printed in your book.

Functionally it's simple: the plate and screw combination is what lets you open and close the headlamp rim to get at the reflector, bulb, and wiring behind it without pulling the whole shell off the nacelle or fork. If yours is missing, bent, or the screw's stripped, the rim won't stay shut properly and you'll get rattling or a rim that pops loose.
It appears across a wide range of headlamp-related figures spanning many model years in our catalog, so this is not a part tied to one specific machine — it's a standard Lucas headlamp fitting used broadly across the range. Confirm your headlamp shell and rim style match before ordering if you're not sure.
