STATOR, type RM19
Lucas RM19 type alternator stator, part number 47173.
This is the stator listed in the parts books as an RM19 type, part number 47173. It's the alternator's stationary winding assembly, the piece that stays fixed to the crankcase while the rotor spins inside it to generate the bike's electrical current. It shows up in the parts book alongside the tail lamp and stop lamp switch, though that's just how that particular figure page was laid out, not an indication the two parts work together.

RM19 was a common Lucas alternator stator designation across a range of British bikes in this era, so if you're chasing one down, make sure the RM19 marking or this part number matches what's called for in your own parts book before you order.
