EARTHING BRUSH K2F
Carbon earthing brush and spring for the Lucas K2F magneto, grounding the armature for reliable ignition.
This is the earthing brush for the K2F magneto, a Lucas electrical part that keeps the rotating armature grounded to the magneto body. It's a small carbon brush and spring assembly that rides against the armature shaft so the ignition circuit has a proper return path back to earth. Without good contact here you can get erratic sparking or misfires that are hard to trace back to the magneto itself.

It shows up in the parts books under the K2F magneto figures, both the manually-advanced type and the automatic advance/retard version, and also gets referenced on the Bonneville carburetter figure page in our catalog records. The older stock number for this one is WW10001, so if you're working from an early parts book or a pile of loose parts with that number stamped or listed, it's the same physical piece as 455190.
This is a wear item — carbon brushes don't last forever, and a magneto that's losing spark or running rough at idle is worth checking here before you start pulling the whole unit apart. Cheap enough to keep one in the drawer if you're doing magneto work anyway.
