CONDENSER 63-67 LUCAS JAPAN - 4CA made for Lucas by Daiachi
Lucas-type 4CA condenser for the timing cover contact breaker setup on 1963-67 BSA and Triumph models.
This is the condenser that pairs with the Lucas 4CA contact breaker setup, sitting under the timing cover on the front of the motor along with the points and coils. Its job is straightforward electrically but critical mechanically: it suppresses the arcing that would otherwise chew up your points every time they open and close, so keeping a good one in service protects the life of your breaker set.

The catalog shows this one appearing across BSA and Triumph single and twin-cylinder applications from 1963 through 1967, riding alongside the 4CA breaker plate under the timing cover. It's listed under Lucas numbering, built for Lucas by a Japanese supplier, and also turns up in some records under the WW10039 alias if that's what's printed in your old parts book.
If your points seem to be burning out faster than they should, a tired or failing condenser is one of the first things worth checking before you blame the points themselves.
