BSA Wheel spoke (left-hand)
A left-hand rear wheel spoke for the wheel-building/lacing job, listed in the parts book under 42-6011.
This is a rear wheel spoke, listed in the parts books as a left-hand spoke. Spokes like this run from the wheel hub out to the rim, holding the wheel true and carrying the load between the two. Spokes are made in left-hand and right-hand versions because of the angle they cross at in the hub flange, so getting the correct hand matters when you're lacing or repairing a wheel.

The catalog places this one on the rear wheel, appearing across entries from 1969 to 1970. If you're rebuilding a rear wheel and pulling old spokes for reference, check which hand you're replacing before ordering so the new one seats the same way the old one did.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond what's in the parts book listing. If you're not sure whether this is the spoke you need, call the shop and we'll help confirm before you order.
