BSA Rear brake rod
Rear brake rod connecting the brake pedal to the rear drum brake linkage.

This is the rear brake rod that shows up in the footrests and brake linkage section of the parts book. It's the mechanical link between the rear brake pedal and the brake operating arm, carrying the pull from your foot down to the drum brake mechanism.
