= Trip control (99-0178)
The trip odometer reset knob/control for the speedometer instrument.
This is the trip control, the little knob or lever that resets the trip odometer needle back to zero on the speedometer face. It's a small mechanical part but it lives inside the speedometer housing, tied directly to the instrument itself rather than to the wiring harness, even though our records file it under electrical.

Our catalog carries this under the number 41-148-203-10, with the alias 99-0178 showing up in the same records. It appears across speedometer and tachometer figures, and also on figures that group the speedometer, tachometer, and tail lamp together, so it's clearly tied to the instrument cluster rather than any one specific model.
If your trip knob is stuck, stripped, or missing, this is the part to look at. The catalog spans a wide stretch of years, but we don't have a specific model tied to this number in our records, so give us a call and we'll confirm it matches your speedometer before you order.
