SCREW CAP SPRING RETAINER
Cap retaining screw for the Amal carburetor's spring-loaded top cap, as fitted to certain mid-1960s Triumph twins.
This is the small cap-retaining screw used on Amal carburetors fitted to Triumph unit twins in the mid-1960s, showing up in the parts book under the Carburetter figures for the T90 and T100 as well as the Amal Carburetter figure for the 6T. It's a piece of hardware most riders never think about until it's missing - the kind of thing that walks off during a carb strip-down and doesn't get noticed until the top cap won't stay put.

We carry it because carb caps and their fasteners are exactly the sort of small parts that go missing over decades of ownership and rebuilds. If you're reassembling an Amal Monobloc-type carburetor off one of these mid-60s Triumph twins and the retaining screw for the spring cap is stripped, buggered, or just gone, this is the one that goes back in.
Given how it's cataloged, we'd treat this as an Amal carburetor fastener rather than anything Triumph-specific - it's the carb maker's hardware, just listed against the Triumph figures where that carburetor was fitted.
