AIR VALVE ASSEMBLY

Amal carburetor air valve assembly (choke slide) for the 6T, T110 and TR6 Carburetter figure, 1960-1962 catalogs.

PN · 376/174

This is the air valve assembly out of the Amal carburetor, the piece that works the choke/air slide for cold starting. It shows up in the parts books under the Carburetter figure for the 6T, T110 and TR6, so if your bike runs the Monobloc-style carb from that era, this is where the assembly lives.

The air valve controls the amount of air let past the slide when you pull the choke lever, richening the mixture for a cold start. It's a wearing part like most carb internals - the slide and body bore take wear over the years, which can leave the choke acting inconsistent or not shutting off air properly once the engine's warm.

Our catalog record on this one is brief - just the two figure listings across 1960-1962 - so if you're not sure whether your carb takes this exact assembly, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
