Float
Float for Amal Monobloc carburetors, fitted across a range of Triumph twins through the 1960s.
376/083 is the float used in Amal Monobloc carburetors across a wide run of Triumph twins. The float rides inside the float chamber and controls fuel level at the needle valve, keeping the bowl topped up without flooding or starving the carb as the bike leans and bounces around.

This number shows up in the parts books under a long list of Monobloc figures, from the 3TA and 5TA smaller twins through the T90, T100 family, 6T, TR6, and T120 variants, spanning catalog years from 1960 into 1967. If you're working from a later parts book, note that this part was superseded by RKC/391 - same physical float under a newer number, so if your book shows RKC/391 you're looking at the same item.
Old Monobloc floats can develop pinholes or soak up fuel over time and sink low in the bowl, which throws off the fuel level and causes flooding or a rich-running carb. Worth checking the float any time you've got a Monobloc apart on the bench, especially if the bike's been sitting with old fuel in the bowl.
