This is the main jet cover nut for the Amal Monobloc carburetor, part number 376/075. It threads onto the bottom of the float bowl body and encloses the main jet, sealing the float chamber at its lowest point and giving you access to the jet when it needs changing or cleaning.

In our records this one shows up on the T90 and T100 carburetor figure from 1966, but the Monobloc carb was used across a wide range of models and years, so if your parts book lists a different bike don't be surprised to see the same 376/075 number called for.
It's a small, easily lost or stripped part down at the bottom of the carb body, so it's worth having a spare on hand if you're pulling the float bowl apart for a jet change or a clean-out.
