Centre spacer - hub
Centre spacer for the rear wheel hub, used with either the Smiths or Veglia speedo drive box setup.
This is the centre spacer that sits inside the rear wheel hub, positioned between the bearings so the hub stays properly located on the axle. It shows up in the rear wheel figures alongside both the Smiths speedo drive box (right-hand side) and the Veglia speedo drive box (left-hand side) setups, so the rear hub assembly uses this spacer regardless of which speedo drive your bike carries.

The catalog carries this under 37-7063 now, but it replaced the earlier factory number 37-7010 - if your parts book or an old invoice shows that number, it's the same physical piece. Appearances in our records run from 1979 into 1985.
When you're rebuilding a rear hub, this spacer is one of those parts that's easy to overlook until the wheel doesn't sit right - worth checking condition and fit against your bearings before you button the wheel back up.
