Return spring (brake lever)
Return spring for the rear brake lever on the conical hub rear brake plate.

Our catalog record ties it to the conical hub rear wheel setup, and it shows up in the parts book under the REAR WHEEL COMPLETE figure for the 1971 model year. You may also see it listed under its older stock number, W3880, which is the same physical part.
It's a wear item worth checking if your rear brake feels like it's not releasing all the way or the lever seems slow to spring back. Given the low cost of the part, it's not a bad one to have in the drawer if you're already got the rear wheel apart.
