This is a trailing brake shoe with the lining already fitted, for the rear drum brake setup. It shows up in the parts book under the rear wheel section, paired with a leading shoe to make up the full shoe set inside the drum.

The trailing shoe sits on the opposite side of the pivot from the leading shoe, and together they're what actually stops the rear wheel when the brake is applied. This one carries the older alias W3874 alongside the current 37-3874 number, so if you're working from an older parts book you may see it listed that way.
