Locking screw (1/4 in. U.H.)
A 1/4 in. U.H. locking screw used to secure a bearing locking ring in the rear wheel hub.
This is a small locking screw that lives in the rear wheel assembly, catalogued under 37-1710 with the older W1710 number appearing in earlier parts books. It's a 1/4 in. U.H. screw, the kind used to pin a bearing locking ring in place so the ring can't work itself loose once the wheel is assembled.

It's a minor part, but it does a specific job, and rear wheel work usually means the hub is already apart, so it's worth checking the condition of this screw while you're in there rather than finding out later it walked off. The catalog record spans rear wheel figures from 1966 through 1974, so it shows up across a good run of the parts books under this number.
If your book lists W1710 instead of 37-1710, it's the same screw — the numbering just changed at some point. Cheap enough to keep a couple of spares in the drawer.
