PIN REAR BRAKE PIVOT (FLAT TYPE BRAKE ARM) FOR SPLIT TYPE USE 37-0011
Rear brake pivot pin for the flat-type brake arm, split-type setup, part number 37-1467.
This is the rear brake pivot pin, 37-1467, used with the flat-type brake arm on the split-type setup that also involves part 37-0011. It's a small but important piece in the rear brake linkage, giving the brake arm a pivot point to work against as the rod pulls on it. The catalog also lists this as a brake rod pivot pin, and it carries the older 998-387 and W1467 numbers if you're cross-checking against an earlier parts book.

Our catalog appearances for this pin run 1971-1972, so if your machine falls in that window this is worth checking against your existing pivot pin for wear or mushrooming at the ends. It's a wear item that lives outside in the weather down by the rear wheel, so it's not unusual for these to need replacing over time.
If you're not sure whether your bike uses the flat-type brake arm and split-type arrangement this pin is meant for, give us a call before you order - there's more than one brake arm and pivot configuration that showed up across the years, and we want to make sure you get the one that matches what's actually on your bike.
