Felt washer
Felt washer for the quickly-detachable rear wheel hub (non-U.S.A. spec), 1968-1969.
This is a felt washer that shows up in the quickly-detachable rear wheel setup, the version of the rear wheel that was not fitted on U.S.A. machines. It carries the older W1032 number in earlier parts books before the 37-1032 numbering took over.

A felt washer like this is a simple sealing and dirt-exclusion piece, sitting in the hub assembly to keep grease where it belongs and grit out of the bearings. It's a small, easily overlooked part when a rear wheel gets stripped down for service, but leaving it out or letting it go hard and brittle is asking for trouble down the line.
Our catalog record ties this one specifically to the QD rear wheel figure for non-U.S.A. machines from 1968 to 1969. If you're working on a U.S.-spec bike from that era, check with us before ordering since the wheel setup differs.
