Backing ring
A small backing ring that seats behind the rear wheel bearing, part number 37-1022 (also listed as W1022).
The 37-1022 is a backing ring for the rear wheel, sitting in behind the wheel bearing to give it a proper seat against the hub. It's a small, simple piece but it does real work — without a flat, square surface for the bearing to register against, the bearing can sit crooked or work its way out of true over time. This part shows up under the legacy code W1022 as well, same physical ring, just the earlier catalog numbering.

This one appears across a long run of rear wheel figures in our records, spanning triumph twins from 1960 through 1974, so it's a part that stuck around largely unchanged for a good while. Cheap to keep on the shelf when you've got the hub apart for bearing work — no reason to reuse a tired one if you're already in there.
Worth doing this along with a bearing swap or a grease seal job rather than as a standalone repair, since you're already pulling the hub down to get at it.
