This is the Lucas ignition switch, type 88SA, complete with key, that lives in the headlamp nacelle on mid-sixties Triumphs. It's the switch you turn to bring the electrics to life before you kick the bike over, mounted right up front where the nacelle houses the headlamp and its companion switches.

Our catalog records show this one under PN 34427, with the later factory number 34427C as the updated form of the same part, and WW10117 as another number it's shown up under. If your parts book lists any of those, you're looking at the same switch.
This one shows up in our records across the mid-1960s. Lucas made this switch for more than just Triumph applications, so if you're chasing one down, have your nacelle in front of you and check the type number stamped on the switch itself before you order.
