Air adjusting screw
Air adjusting screw for Amal carburetors, used to set the idle mixture on a range of Triumph twins.
This is the air adjusting screw for an Amal carburetor, the small screw that lets you fine-tune the air/fuel mixture at idle and low throttle. It's a fiddly little part but an important one - get the setting wrong and the bike either hunts at idle or won't pull cleanly off the bottom.

Our records show this number turning up across a long run of Amal carb figures, including the setups used on the 3TA and 5TA, the T90 and T100 family, the 6T, TR6, and T120 twins. It's clearly a piece Amal carried across a wide range of its carburetor bodies rather than something unique to one model, so if your book lists 332/017 for your bike's carb, this is the part.
The old factory number for this same screw was RKC/513, so if you're working from an earlier parts book or a carb rebuilt with older-stock parts, that's the number you may find stamped or listed instead. Same physical part either way.
