Horn push and dip switch (99-0555)
Lucas horn push and headlamp dip switch for the handlebar controls, factory number 31563, later superseded by 31563C.
This is the horn push and dip (high/low beam) switch combo unit that mounts on the handlebar, right where the rider's thumb falls. It's a Lucas control switch, and it shows up across a wide run of Triumph handlebar and control lever figures in the parts books, along with the electrical equipment section, so it's a part that stuck around in the lineup for a long time.

Catalog records for this one span 1960 through 1973, and it appears in over twenty different figure listings, which tells you it was a mainstay piece rather than something limited to a single model or year. The factory number 31563 was later carried forward as 31563C, so if your parts book or an old switch housing shows that number instead, it's the same part.
When you're checking one of these against your bike, look at the wiring and connector style as much as the switch body itself — these switches handle both the horn button and the dip switch function in one housing, so the wiring harness coming off it matters for a clean fit. If you're not sure which variant your bike needs, give us a call and we'll help sort it out before you order.
