KILL BUTTON NORM OPEN - Replaces 31376 35601
Lucas normally-open kill button (PN 31071) used on AC magneto ignition systems to ground out and stop the engine.
This is the Lucas kill button, PN 31071, a normally-open cutout switch used on AC magneto ignition setups. Some supplier catalogs cross-reference this to 31376 and 35601, so if your parts book shows either of those, check it against your book or call us before ordering. You'll find it referenced in wiring harness and direct lighting figures alongside the AC magneto ignition coils, as well as in nacelle and headlamp switch listings.

The kill button works by grounding out the ignition circuit when pressed, which stops the engine without needing to reach for a separate ignition switch. Because it's a normally-open design, it only makes contact and cuts the circuit while you're holding it down.
It also carries the WW10116 alternate part number in our records. If you're not sure whether your bike's ignition setup calls for the normally-open or normally-closed version, check your existing switch or give us a call before ordering.
