Crankshaft stud (1 3/8 in. O.A.)
Crankshaft stud, 1 3/8 in. overall, that secures the alternator rotor on the crank end.
This is the crankshaft stud that carries the alternator rotor on the end of the crankshaft, 1 3/8 in. overall length as listed in the parts book. The parts-book figures place it right in the crankshaft and connecting rod assembly, where it locates and secures the rotor so the alternator can do its job of charging the electrical system.

The catalog record for this stud spans appearances from the mid-1970s into the mid-1980s, so it's a long-running item across that engine family. Given how it works (holding a spinning rotor square to the crank), it's worth checking your existing stud for wear or stretch before you put the engine back together, since this is not a part you want backing out on you.
If you're pulling the crank apart for inspection or rebuild, this is a small but important fastener to have on hand, especially if the original has any thread damage or corrosion from age.
