PLATE,BRUSH GEN.E3H

This is a brush plate for a Lucas E3H generator, part number 200253. The brush plate is the piece inside the generator body that holds and locates the carbon brushes against the commutator, so current can pass from the spinning armature into the electrical system. On these older Lucas dynamos it's a wear item, since the brushes ride against it and eventually need attention or replacement.
