Adjuster nut, brake and clutch levers (3/8" U.N.F.)
Adjuster nut for brake and clutch lever cable adjusters, 3/8 inch U.N.F. thread.
This is the adjuster nut used on brake and clutch lever assemblies, where the cable adjuster threads into the lever body. It's a small item but an important one - it lets you set free play at the lever end without having to chase adjustment down at the other end of the cable. The thread is 3/8 inch U.N.F.

It shows up across several parts book figures covering handlebars, control levers, and cables, so this same nut serves both the brake side and the clutch side depending on which lever you're working on. Our catalog listings for this part run from 1969 to 1971.
If you're replacing a worn or stripped adjuster nut, check the thread engagement on your existing adjuster screw before ordering - a nut that's been cross-threaded or overtightened is usually the reason it needs replacing in the first place.
