Bolt (bracket to heat sink)
A bolt that secures a mounting bracket to the heat sink in the electrical system, used circa 1968–1969.
This is a bolt that fastens a mounting bracket to a heat sink, part of the electrical system on the models it appears with in our catalog records. The figure titles it shows up under point to the zener diode and rectifier area as well as the ignition coil and horn setup, so it's doing bracket duty in the electrical tray under the seat or nearby, holding things steady against vibration.

It's a small, plain fastener, but if the bracket it holds isn't seated right the heat sink won't do its job cooling the zener diode, so it's worth replacing rather than reusing if it's stripped or rusted. Our catalog record ties this one to appearances from 1968 through 1969, but doesn't spell out a specific model beyond that.
If you're chasing this down for a rewire or electrical tray rebuild, give us a call and we'll confirm it's the right bolt for your bracket and heat sink combination before you order.
