This is the fiber washer that seals the banjo bolt on Mk1 and Mk2 Concentric carburetors. It sits under the banjo fitting where the fuel line connects to the carb body, and its job is simple: keep fuel from seeping out around that bolt where it threads into the float bowl or fuel union.
