Norton Stud, Cylinder to Head
A Norton cylinder-to-head stud used to clamp the cylinder barrel to the head on the engine top end.
This is a cylinder-to-head stud, the kind of fastener that clamps the barrel down to the cylinder head on the top end of the engine. It's a Norton part, appearing in the catalog under the Cylinder and Cylinder Head figures for 1975. One end threads into the cylinder casting, the nut end passes through the head and gets torqued down with a nut and washer to hold the assembly together and keep compression sealed.

Our record on this one is a single catalog line, so we don't have much more to go on beyond that description and the figure it shows up in. If you're replacing a full set of head studs, it's worth pulling the old ones and matching thread and length before ordering, since studs in this position can vary by position on the barrel.
Given the sparse listing, give the shop a call if you want us to confirm this is the right stud for your engine before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
