This is an exhaust valve guide for the Norton 850 engine, machined oversize at plus .006 for a tight fit when the original guide bore has worn or been reamed for service. It's a Norton part, not a Triumph piece, despite where it lives in our filing system, so don't try to fit it into a unit-twin head.

The guide is what the exhaust valve stem rides in and seals against inside the cylinder head, keeping the valve tracking straight as it opens and closes thousands of times a minute. Going oversize like this +.006 spec is typically a rebuild step, done when a head has been bored to clean up wear and needs a guide sized to match.
