Norton Gasket, Cylinder Base
Cylinder base gasket for the Norton 850 Commando, seals the joint between barrel and crankcase.
This is a cylinder base gasket for a Norton, not a Triumph part, so if you landed here off a Triumph search you're in the wrong aisle. It seats between the cylinder barrel and the crankcase mouth, sealing that joint so compression and oil stay where they belong instead of seeping out at the base of the barrel.

Our catalog record ties this one to the 850 Commando line, appearing in the 1975 model year in our books. If you're working on a Commando with the 850 engine, this is the gasket that goes under the barrel when you pull it for a rebore, ring job, or just to check the bore.
We only show the one catalog appearance for this number, so if your parts book lists something different for your specific machine, give us a call before you order and we'll sort out which gasket you actually need.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
