Norton Pawl, Kickstart
Kickstart pawl (06-2015) that engages the ratchet gear in the gearbox to turn the engine over when kickstarting.
This is the kickstart pawl, part number 06-2015, listed in the gearbox inner cover figure. The pawl is the piece that engages with the kickstart ratchet gear when you swing the lever down, taking the drive so the kickstart shaft can spin the gearbox mainshaft over and get the engine turning. Once the engine fires and the lever comes back up, the pawl disengages so it's not dragging on the gear the rest of the time.

Our catalog record for this one is thin - it shows up once, tied to the gearbox inner cover area, with a 1975 date on file. We don't have more detail on this one beyond that. If you're chasing a worn or chipped pawl that's causing the kickstart to slip or not catch, this is the part, but call the shop and we'll confirm fitment against your gearbox before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
