Norton Circlip
Retaining circlip for the front brake master cylinder boot on Norton twins with front disc brakes.
This is a circlip used on the front brake master cylinder for Norton twins fitted with front disc brakes. It's the small retaining clip that holds the rubber boot in place at the end of the master cylinder body, keeping dirt and moisture out of the bore.

It shows up in the parts book alongside the handlebar and front brake master cylinder and hose group, which tells you where it lives - right up at the lever end of the hydraulic system, not down at the caliper. It's a one-piece clip sold individually.
If you're rebuilding a master cylinder on a Commando-era Norton, this is worth having on hand since the old ones tend to lose their spring and won't seat right the second time around. Check your parts book against your own machine before ordering to make sure this is the clip your master cylinder takes.
